A little bit sure does add up over time.\u00a0 Albert Lexie, a shoe shiner in Pittsburgh has been working at the Children’s Hospital at UPMC since 1981.\u00a0 This hard working, good hearted man has been giving his tips back to the children’s hospital since he started.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

A typical shoe shining costs $5 and he usually gets tips around $6. <\/p>\n

\u201cMost of them give $6, some of them give $7,\u201d Lexie says.<\/p>\n

Those $6 bills have added up to over $200,000 throughout the years and he has given it all to the hospital!<\/p>\n

\u201cI think he does it because he loves the kids..He’s a philanthropist, is what he is,\u201d
\u00a0said Dr. Joseph Carcillo.<\/p>\n
