Yuichiro Miura, an 80 year old from Japan, climbed to the top of Mount Everest on Thursday 5/23/2013. He is the oldest man to have climbed the Earth’s highest mountain. Miura arrived at the summit with his 9 person team including his 43 year old son.

“This is the best feeling in the world,” Miura said on a phone call to his family from the summit. “I never imagined I would become the oldest man to get here, at 80. There’s no greater feeling in life, but I’ve never felt this tired either.”
