“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that” – Martin Luther King, Jr.

Today (January 21st, 2013) marks the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.‘s march on Washington.  Millions of people have the day off to celebrate the life and beautiful messages of MLK.  It is also a day where hundreds volunteer to help those in need.

“Every year Volunteers of America hosts a dinner for those who hunger on MLK day to celebrate his legacy through service,” Rachel Dolgin with Volunteers Of America said.
