A little bit sure does add up over time.  Albert Lexie, a shoe shiner in Pittsburgh has been working at the Children’s Hospital at UPMC since 1981.  This hard working, good hearted man has been giving his tips back to the children’s hospital since he started.

A typical shoe shining costs $5 and he usually gets tips around $6.

“Most of them give $6, some of them give $7,” Lexie says.

Those $6 bills have added up to over $200,000 throughout the years and he has given it all to the hospital!

“I think he does it because he loves the kids..He’s a philanthropist, is what he is,”
 said Dr. Joseph Carcillo.

And that’s what’s good,
Jon
