What does a 101 year old do on their spare time?  Run marathons of course!…ok not many, but Fauja Singh does and he does it in style – with his flowing white beard. I know when I’m his age, I’ll definitely sport the white beard!

Fauja decided to make the recent Hong Kong marathon’s 10 K his last race, finishing in 1 hour and 32 minutes.  He was joined by many fellow Sikh and 72,000 other runners.

“I will remember this day. I will miss it,” Fauja said after the race.

In 2011, at the age of 100, Fauja became the world’s oldest man to run a full marathon during the Toronto marathon.  His record is not recognized by the Guinness Book of World records because he does not have a birth certificate.

Fauja Singh, you are truly an inspiration.  Never stop moving!  It doesn’t matter how old you are, what you look like, or where you are from – you can do anything you put your mind to!

And that’s what’s good,
Jon
